AirDrop වලට සමාන Android feature එක, Google Nearby beta release කරයි
ගොඩ දෙනෙක් බලන් ඉදපු Google Nearby Share feature එක දැන් එයාලා roll-out කරන්න පටන් අරන් තියෙනවා. මේක අපිට Google Play services latest beta එකේ දකින්න ලැබෙනවා. මේ feature එක Android 6 ( Marshmallow ) සිට ඉහලට තියෙන devices වලට තමා හම්බ වෙන්නෙ.
“We’re currently conducting a beta test of a new Nearby Share feature that we plan to share more information on in the future. Our goal is to launch the feature with support for Android 6+ devices as well as other platforms,”කියලා Google representative කෙනෙක් Android Police ලට කියලා තියෙනවා.
මේ Nearby Sharing feature එක අනාගතේදි Windows , Mac , Linux සහ Chrome OS එකට support කරයි කියලා expect කරනවා.
මේක enable කරාට පස්සෙ Nearby Sharing icon එක අපිට share sheet එකේ දකින්න ලැබෙනවා. ඊට අමතරව අපිට Nearby Share button එහෙකුත් sheet එකේ දකින්න ලැබෙනවා.
මේ Nearby Share එකේ visibility settings තුනක් තියෙනවා ඒ All contacts , Some Contacts සහ Hidden කියලයි. පල්ලෙහා තියෙනවා sharing process එක මොන වගේද කියලා.
Android Police ලා කියනවා මේ Nearby Share එකට server side component එකක් ඕනේ කියලා වැඩ කරන්න. ඒ හින්දා latest Google Play services beta එකක් තියෙන compatible phone එහෙක උනත් අපිට මේක දකින්න ලැබෙන එකක් නෑ. අපේ devices වල test කරලා බැලුවහමත් අපිට දකින්න හම්බ උනේ නෑ.
දැන් මේ feature එක public beta testing වලට ready නිසා අපිට expect කරන්න පුළුවන් company එක මේක Pixel 4a එකත් එක්ක announce කරයි කියලා. නැත්තම් Pixel 5 එකත් එක්ක තමා.
